Common use of Standby Defined Clause in Contracts

Standby Defined. When an employee is required by the Employer to be readily available within thirty (30) minutes of the normal work headquarters for service at other than normal working hours. Qualified employees are required to perform standby duty on a rotating basis in accordance with a list posted by the Employer.
