Common use of State Notices Clause in Contracts

State Notices. Residents of All States, including California and Utah Residents: As required by law, you are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting on your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations. Residents of All States, including New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont: You understand and agree that a consumer credit report may be obtained in connection with your application and from time to time in connection with any updates, renewals, or extensions of any Account issued as a result of your application. Upon your request, you will be informed of whether or not a consumer credit report was obtained and, if it was, you will be given the name and address of the consumer reporting agency that furnished the report. You also give us and our agents, successors, and assigns permission to access your consumer credit report in connection with any transaction, or extension of credit, and on an ongoing basis, for the purpose of reviewing your Account, taking collection action on your Account, or for any other legitimate purposes associated with your Account. Residents of All States, including Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, and Washington: ORAL AGREEMENTS OR COMMITMENTS TO LOAN MONEY, EXTEND CREDIT OR TO FORBEAR FROM ENFORCING REPAYMENT OF A DEBT, INCLUDING PROMISES TO EXTEND OR RENEW SUCH DEBT, ARE NOT ENFORCEABLE. TO PROTECT YOU (BORROWER) AND US (CREDITOR) FROM MISUNDERSTANDING OR DISAPPOINTMENT, ANY AGREEMENTS WE REACH COVERING SUCH MATTERS ARE CONTAINED IN THIS WRITING, WHICH IS THE COMPLETE AND EXCLUSIVE STATEMENT OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND US, EXCEPT AS WE MAY LATER MODIFY IT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS CARD AGREEMENT.
