STATUTORY LEAVES OF ABSENCE/SEB Clause Samples
The Statutory Leaves of Absence/SEB clause defines the rights and procedures for employees to take legally mandated leaves from work, such as maternity, parental, or sick leave, and outlines the employer's obligations regarding Supplemental Employment Benefits (SEB) during these periods. Typically, this clause specifies eligibility criteria, the process for requesting leave, and how SEB payments are calculated and provided to supplement government benefits. Its core function is to ensure employees can access protected leave and financial support as required by law, while providing clear guidelines for both parties to follow, thereby reducing misunderstandings and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
