Common use of Step Increase Date Clause in Contracts

Step Increase Date. 2 1. The Step Increase Date of an employee who bumps to a lateral 3 classification shall remain unchanged. 4 2. The Step Increase Date of an employee demoted shall remain 5 unchanged. 6 3. The Step Increase Date of an employee recalled from inactive 7 layoff status shall be adjusted so that the amount of time remaining before the 8 employee’s next Step Increase Date is the same as it was at the time of placement 9 on inactive layoff.
