Steps and Time Limits. Step 1—Oral Step a) Grievances must be filed at the oral step (Step 1) no later than ten (10) working days after the grievant knew or should have known of the event or condition giving rise to the grievance. If the grievance is not satisfactorily resolved at Step 1, or the supervisor does not does not render his/her decision within the time limit, the grievant may appeal to Step 2. b) The immediate supervisor must respond within five (5) working days after he/she receives the appeal.
