Stock Based Compensation Clause Samples
The stock-based compensation clause defines how employees or contractors are granted equity or stock options as part of their overall compensation package. It typically outlines the types of stock awards available, such as restricted stock units or stock options, and details the vesting schedule, eligibility criteria, and procedures for exercising these rights. This clause ensures that both parties understand the terms under which equity is awarded, helping to align the interests of employees with the long-term success of the company and providing a clear framework for ownership incentives.
