STOP PAYMENT FEATURE. You can order us to stop payment on any check you write from your Santander checking account through Digital Banking. You cannot stop payment on a check if we have accepted, certified, paid, or otherwise become accountable for the check, except to the extent required by law. You must allow us a reasonable time to initiate your stop payment request. Your stop payment request will remain in effect for six (6) months and is subject to our regular stop payment fee. The stop payment feature may not be used with respect to any payment or transfer scheduled through Digital Banking. You cannot stop payment on a check if we have accepted, certified, made final payment on or otherwise become accountable for the check, except to the extent required by law. You may be requested to sign a stop payment form to continue the online request beyond fourteen (14) days. Your stop payment request is subject to our regular stop payment fee. You cannot cancel pre-authorized electronic payments using the stop payment feature. Please see the applicable Deposit Account Agreement for other provisions governing stop payment orders.

Additional terms and/or disclosures may apply to a particular stop payment request, which will be provided to you at the time the request is submitted. Please note that the stop payment feature SHOULD NOT be used to cancel account-to-account transfers or ▇▇▇▇ payments. In the event you choose to enroll in our online ▇▇▇▇ payment service, instructions for submitting stop payment requests are set forth in the terms and conditions applicable to that service. More information concerning the cancellation of transfer requests can be found in Paragraph 17 herein.

  • Stop Payment Any instruction to stop payment of an Instrument drawn on the Account must be in writing and signed by one or more Authorized Signatories and/or Authorized Users, in accordance with the signing authority on the Account. On receiving a stop payment instruction of an Instrument drawn on the Account, the Financial Institution will: a) use reasonable diligence to comply with the stop payment, but b) not be liable to the Depositor or any other person by reason of complying with, or failing to comply with, the stop payment, whether the Financial Institution is negligent, wilfully negligent, or otherwise.

  • Stop Payment Rights If you have arranged in advance to make electronic fund transfers out of your account(s) for money you owe others, you may stop payment on preauthorized transfers from your account. You must notify us orally or in writing at any time up to three (3) business days before the scheduled date of the transfer. We may require written confirmation of the stop payment order to be made within 14 days of any oral notification. If we do not receive the written confirmation, the oral stop payment order shall cease to be binding 14 days after it has been made. A stop payment request may apply to a single transfer, multiple transfers, or all future transfers as directed by you, and will remain in effect unless you withdraw your request or all transfers subject to the request have been returned.

  • Stop Payment Request You may ask the Credit Union to stop payment on any check drawn upon or ACH debit scheduled from your checking account. You may request a stop payment by telephone, by mail, or in person. For checks, the stop payment will be effective if the Credit Union receives the order in time for the Credit Union to act upon the order. For ACH debits, the stop payment order must be received at least three (3) banking days before the scheduled date of the transfer. You must state the number of the account, date, and the exact amount of the check or item and the number of the check or originator of the ACH debit. If you give the Credit Union incorrect or incomplete information, the Credit Union will not be responsible for failing to stop payment on the item. If the stop payment order is not received in time for the Credit Union to act upon the order, the Credit Union will not be liable to you or to any other party for payment of the item. If we recredit your account after paying a check over a valid and timely stop payment order, you agree to sign a statement describing the dispute with the payee, to transfer all of your rights against the payee or other holders of the check to the Credit Union, and to assist the Credit Union in legal action taken against the person.

  • Stop Payments The Fund hereby authorizes the Transfer Agent to stop payment of checks issued in payment of dividends, but not presented for payment, when the payees thereof allege either that they have not received the checks or that such checks have been mislaid, lost, stolen, destroyed or, through no fault of theirs, are otherwise beyond their control and cannot be produced by them for presentation and collection, and the Transfer Agent shall issue and deliver duplicate checks in replacement thereof, and the Fund shall indemnify Transfer Agent against any loss or damage resulting from reissuance of the checks.

  • Stop Payment Requests If you desire to stop any transfer that has already been processed, you must contact customer care for the Service pursuant to Section 22 of the General Terms. Although we will make a reasonable effort to accommodate your request, we will have no liability for failing to do so. We may also require you to present your request in writing within fourteen (14) days. The charge for each request will be the current charge for such service as set out in the applicable fee schedule.
