Storm Emergencies. (a) Employees will be covered by the conditions set out in the University’s Storm Emergency Policy. (b) On ‘closed’ snow days, Employees who are otherwise scheduled to work will be paid whether they come to work or not. (c) Employees who report to work and are deemed to be performing essential services on a ‘closed day’ will receive, in addition to their regular wages, equivalent time off at straight time.
Storm Emergencies. The Parties agree that Employees will receive an annual lump sum payment in lieu of the application of the University Storm Emergency Policy and Procedures, payable on the first pay date in October of each year of this Agreement, in the following amounts: Full Time Employees $225 Part Time Employees $135‌
Storm Emergencies. The Employer has a Storm Emergency Policy and Procedure. Time off and compensation for Employees in the event of a storm emergency will be outlined in this policy.
Storm Emergencies. (a) The University’s Storm Emergency Policy shall apply to Employees. (b) When a storm emergency closure is called by the University in accordance with the Policy, the AVP & Chief Facilities Officer or designate may deem the closure to be extended beyond its announced expiry, the close of business, or 11:59pm, as the case may be, and the Policy shall continue to apply for the duration of the extension. When a storm emergency closure has not been called by the University in accordance with the Policy, the AVP & Chief Facilities Officer or designate may deem a closure to have been called, specifying the start and end of the closure period, and the Policy shall apply for the duration of the closure. (c) Article 15.12(b) may not be subject to a grievance.
Storm Emergencies. AGENT will make its best efforts to visit owner's properties as soon as possible after a major storm. Such emergency visits will be viewed as an additional or incremental visit owner will be billed at the standard rate of $75.00, plus an incremental $20 travel and fuel surcharge for visits over 30 miles from Keystone Heights, Fl. and over 50 miles add an incremental $20 fuel & travel surcharge. Under severe circumstances, AGENT will begin mitigation to protect owners properties. For example, should access to owners' properties be blocked by fallen trees, or extreme amount of snowfall, AGENT will make reasonable attempts to secure the vendors necessary to provide access. This service is not covered under our service agreement and all vendors that work on owners properties during this period are working in good faith and with the understanding that services rendered are vital to protect owner's properties and owner agrees to reimburse in full for such services. Under normal circumstances, we would qualify the job and cost with Owner. Service Plan does not include any cost for labor and materials. Any services performed in addition to the chosen service plan will be billed separately.

Related to Storm Emergencies

  • Emergencies 10.3.1 In any emergency affecting the safety of persons or property, the Contractor shall act to prevent threatened damage, injury or loss. Any additional compensation or extension of time claimed by the Contractor on account of emergency work shall be determined as provided in Article 12 for Changes in the Work.

  • Emergency A circumstance requiring immediate action; a sudden, unexpected happening; an unforeseen occurrence or condition.

  • Emergency Work Employees who are required to report for emergency work on non- workdays, or outside of their regular hours of work on a scheduled workday or on holidays which they are entitled to have off, shall be paid overtime compensation for the actual work time and for travel time in connection therewith, but such travel time shall not exceed one-half (1/2) hour.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness/injury, or illness/injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken. 2. A teacher may be granted up to five (5) days leave without pay for business and/or personal reasons having unusual circumstances.
