STRIKES AND OTHER DISRUPTIONS OF NORMAL WORK ROUTINE. Section 1. The protection of the public health, safety, and welfare demands that neither the FOP, nor any individual County employee in the bargaining unit, or any person acting in concert with them will cause, sanction, or take part in any strike, walkout, sit-down, slowdown, stoppage of work, retarding of work, abnormal absenteeism, withholding of services, or any other interference with the normal work routine. The provisions of this Section 1 of this Article apply as long as this Agreement, or during any renewal or extension thereof, is in effect. Section 2. The County agrees that it shall not lock out any employee because of a labor dispute.
