Common use of Student Composition of Class Clause in Contracts

Student Composition of Class. Dual credit courses may be comprised of dual credit students only or of dual credit and college credit students. Exceptions for a mixed class that combines college credit and high school credit-only students may be allowed only when the creation of a high school credit-only class is not financially viable for the high school and only under one of the following conditions outlined in the TAC, Title 19, Part 1, Chapter 4, Subchapter D, Rule 4.85 listed below: a. If the course involved is required for completion under the State Board of Education High School Program graduation requirements, and the high school involved is otherwise unable to offer such a course. b. If the high school credit-only students are College Board Advanced Placement students. (ACGM and WECM student learning outcomes for the College course will supersede additional content required for College Board advanced placement exams.) c. If the course is a career and technology/college workforce education course and the high school credit-only students are earning articulated college credits. Prior to the School District enrolling non-dual credit high school students in a dual credit course, the School District must submit an annual Course Exception Report Memorandum following the procedures in the TJC Dual Credit and ECHS Procedures Manual for approval.
