SUBCONTRACTS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES Sample Clauses

The "Subcontracts for Engineering Services" clause defines the rules and requirements for hiring third-party engineers or engineering firms to perform work under the main contract. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which subcontracting is permitted, such as requiring the main contractor to obtain the client's approval before engaging a subcontractor, and may specify standards or qualifications that subcontractors must meet. Its core function is to ensure that any engineering services provided by subcontractors meet the project's quality and compliance standards, while also giving the client oversight and control over who is performing critical work.
