Common use of Submission Procedure Clause in Contracts

Submission Procedure. a. If an appeal from a suspension or reduction in class or salary is not settled at Step 2, it may be presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date the decision was rendered. b. An appeal from any discharge or from a suspension or reduction in class or salary imposed by the County Executive Officer may be presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date the action becomes final. c. All disciplinary appeals shall be signed by a staff representative of AOCDS and shall be submitted in writing as follows: Was (employee's name) suspended/reduced in class or salary/discharged for reasonable cause? If not, to what remedy is the appellant entitled under the provisions of Article X, Section 8. of this MOU? d. As soon as practicable after a suspension, reduction in class or salary or discharge appeal is presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer , an arbitrator shall hear the appeal.
