Substantial Completion Report Sample Clauses

The Substantial Completion Report clause defines the requirement for a formal document that certifies when a project or a significant portion of it has reached substantial completion. Typically, this report is prepared by the contractor or project manager and submitted to the owner, detailing the work completed, any outstanding items, and confirming that the project is ready for its intended use, subject to minor corrections. The core function of this clause is to establish a clear milestone for project completion, which often triggers important contractual events such as the release of retainage, commencement of warranties, or transfer of responsibility for the site.
