Substitute’s Pay. The rate of pay for substitute workers shall be: 1. A rate equal to the beginning step of the classification of the regular employee for whom the substitute is working. 2. Employees who separate their regular employment from the District and remain approved to work as a substitute in the same job classification shall be paid at the same pay level received while holding the regular position. Employees who resign their regular position and become a substitute in a different job classification shall be paid at a rate equal to the beginning step of the classification of the new job classification.
