Common use of Successors and Assignments Clause in Contracts

Successors and Assignments. The CITY and the ARCHITECT each binds themselves and their successors, executors, administrators, and assigns to the other party of this Contract and to the successors, executors, administrators and assigns of such other party, in respect to all covenants of this Contract. Except as above, neither the CITY nor the ARCHITECT shall assign, sublet, or transfer its interest in this Contract without the written consent of the other. Nothing herein shall be construed as creating any personal liability on the part of any officer or agent of any public body which may be a party hereto.
