Common use of Successors and Assignments Clause in Contracts

Successors and Assignments. Both City and Contractor bind themselves and any partner, successor, executor, administrator, or assign to this Agreement. Neither City nor Contractor shall assign or transfer their interest or obligation hereunder in this Agreement without the written consent of the other party. Contractor must seek and obtain City's written consent before subcontracting any part of the work required of Contractor under this Agreement. Any assignment, transfer, or subcontract attempted in violation of this Section shall be void.
