Common use of Summer Institute Clause in Contracts

Summer Institute. 1. Employees will be in attendance up to ten (10) work days, each seven (7) hours long, following the last day of school (herein referred to as the “Summer Institute”). The scheduling of such Summer Institute days shall be agreed upon between the Head of School and the UFT Chapter Leader as early in the school year as practicable. The Summer Institute will be used by the School to provide Employees with job-related professional training, as well as to prepare for the following school year. 2. Employees will receive additional compensation for participation in the Summer Institute at their hourly salary rate in effect on the last day of school in June.
