Summer Routes Sample Clauses
Summer Routes. All summer routes will be selected by seniority, before the last scheduled school day in June and will be published not less than three (3) days prior to the selection day. Alternate positions will be posted and selected at the same time.
Summer Routes. A. Summer Routes fall outside of the “school year,” and are defined as being scheduled for two (2) or more days in duration.
B. Those employees desiring to participate in summer routes will be given an opportunity to sign up prior to the end of the school year, and assignments shall be based on seniority, subject to the applicable provisions outlined in Section 11.6, “Driving Routes.”
Summer Routes. Drivers who want to work summer school routes must sign up before the last Friday in May. Summer routes will be built, bid and awarded according to Section 29.2.2. If summer routes increase or decrease by thirty (30) minutes or more for at least five (5) days, the route will be rebid on by seniority within one workday. Summer route vacancy calling will happen each morning and the dispatcher will move on to the next person by seniority if a driver does not answer. Only one telephone number per driver will be called. It is the driver’s responsibility to keep the current phone number up to date. The dispatcher will be responsible for making work assignments and notifying substitutes.
Summer Routes. Known summer routes will be posted no later than five (5) days prior to the end of the school year, drivers/monitors shall have five (5) days, from the day of posting, to sign for a summer route. Said summer routes shall be awarded according to classification seniority. (example: driver is awarded a drivers position, monitor is awarded a monitor position) Drivers/monitors may not take off their summer route for any other employment opportunities, including, but not limited to field trips. In the event a driver/monitor is absent due to illness or an emergency, that position shall be offered to the next senior driver/monitor on the original bid list that has not been awarded a summer route. If a driver/monitor that has been awarded a summer route and then requests time off, other than illness or emergency leave, that summer route will then be awarded to the next senior driver/monitor on the original bid list.

Summer Routes. Known summer routes, including recurring summer routes which will be considered a single route for purpose of bidding, shall be bid near the end of the school year in the same manner as other non-regular routes. Bus Drivers shall provide an updated telephone number for summer routes which may become available during the summer. The obligation to offer a Bus Driver or Bus Monitor a summer route that becomes available during the summer shall be satisfied with one telephone call.
Summer Routes. 18:4.1 The cut-off date for summer routes will be the Friday before the last full week of district school. If routes are established after this date that exceed the hours for those already chosen, these new routes will be posted, and drivers by seniority may change their chosen routes.

Summer Routes. All Summer Routes/work shall be posted at one time, if available for bid at least ten (10) business days prior to the end of the regular school term. These Summer Routes will remain posted for three (3) working days at which time bidding shall be completed. Additional or late Summer Routes shall be posted for the duration of the original post. These Summer Routes shall be assigned together with the original post. All Summer Routes that are received and posted after the original bid shall be posted for three (3) days at which time bidding shall be completed. After summer routes have been awarded, should a route no longer be needed, the affected driver/attendant will be utilized as a substitute provided there is no available driver/attendant position to which he/she can be assigned.
Summer Routes. Summer work will be offered by time and title as consistent with 6.7.1.
