Common use of SUPERVISION WORKING Clause in Contracts

SUPERVISION WORKING. A supervisor shall not take over the shift or duties normally performed by an employee in the bargaining unit except in an emergency. It is recognized that head custodians may perform normal cleaning duties during the day shift, use a riding snowblower on sidewalks and entrance areas of the building they are assigned to for their day shift and perform touch-up paint for an area no larger than ten square feet in the building they are assigned to for their day shift. For clarification purposes: this section does not affect the ability for supervisors to paint during the summer.
