Supervisory Responsibility. In addition to prudent classroom and hallway supervision, bargaining unit members will be assigned 1/2 period daily of direct student supervision. This supervisory assignment will be used to provide direct supervision of the District’s Advisory Period System. Daily supervisory assignments that substitute for advisory period supervisory assignments will be made by the employer only with the consent of the unit member. Unit members may voluntarily work with the assigned administrator to provide direct supervision that is the equivalent of 1/2 period daily, but may be configured differently on an annual basis. Any such arrangement must be mutually agreed to by all affected bargaining unit members, and the designated administrator. The employer will consult with an Association building representative regarding supervisory assignments during the week preceding the start of a school year. Traveling teachers are exempt from supervisory responsibilities outlined in this paragraph The Association agrees that proper supervision of the student body may require periodic, temporary supervisory duties. Unit members will accept responsibility for temporary supervisory duties, such as School Crisis Plan, school lockdowns, disaster drills or alerts, assemblies, or other situations requiring adult response.
