Surplus Notification. (a) The Secondary Staffing Committee shall meet prior to the second Monday in May in order to review and monitor the determination of data and surplus situations. The Committee will determine the potential for any net reduction in the system staff complement and project the number of teachers that could be affected. (b) Immediately following verification by the Committee, teachers who are determined to be surplus to the needs of the school shall be notified in writing by the Human Resources Department.
