Teachers on Leave of Absence Clause Samples

The "Teachers on Leave of Absence" clause outlines the rights and obligations of teachers who temporarily step away from their teaching duties, typically for reasons such as illness, family matters, or professional development. It specifies the procedures for requesting a leave, the duration and types of leave available, and any requirements for notification or documentation. This clause ensures that both the school and the teacher understand the terms under which a leave can be taken, thereby maintaining operational continuity and protecting the teacher's employment status during their absence.
Teachers on Leave of Absence. Teachers on approved leave of absence shall be allowed to continue participation in any group insurance plan available for teachers (except Long-term Disability and Workers’ Compensation) provided they pay the premium themselves. Teachers participating in any of the insurance plans available shall prepay the District on a quarterly basis.
