TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE LINES a) The Concessionaire shall be responsible for the selection of transmission lines routes and circuits. In the preliminary engineering project, the preliminary layout chosen for transmission lines is shown. These lines will be evaluated by the Concessionaire, who will define the final layouts. Line routes passing through national parks and restricted areas shall be restricted. b) The Concessionaire will be responsible for all matters relating to the construction of access routes, for which it must adhere to the existing applicable rules. c) Among others, the Concessionaire will be responsible for the following activities: ▪ Managing of easement rights and payment of compensation to land owners, for which the Grantor may assist in raising awareness activities among owners, in order to handle easement proceedings in an efficient manner. ▪ Obtaining the ▇▇▇▇ (Instituto Nacional de Cultura-INC certificate on no impact on archaeological remains). ▪ Preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment and monitoring plan, which will be developed within the existing legal framework, in addition to the approval by relevant government entities. ▪ Obtaining the Definitive Electric Transmission Concession. ▪ Coordination with concessionaires who are developing projects or have facilities within the path of the line, or where work is required to connect to substations that are part of the scope of this project. d) The 220 kV line easement strip will be at least 25 m, while the 60 kV line will be 16 m. Additionally, in areas with presence of trees or objects which height and proximity to the line represent potential hazard to people moving into the area or to the line itself (in case of dangerous approaches or a possible fall of these trees on the line), the minimum strip established by the Code may be extended to eliminate or minimize these risks such as, for example, the removal or cutting of such trees. Also, compliance with current Rules 218 and 219 of the National Electrical Code 2011 Supply must be verified.
