Common use of Temperature Sensors Clause in Contracts

Temperature Sensors. Temperature sensors shall be RTDs or thermistors. Sensor Time Constant shall not exceed 5 seconds for a 60% response to a step change in temperature. Sensor repeatability shall be 0 ºF or better. a. Outside air temperature sensor elements for each of the controllers shall be accurate within +0.5 ºF over a range from -20 ºF to 120 ºF. b. Duct sensors shall be of the averaging type. Element length shall be adequate for sensing the average cross-sectional temperature over the full duct cross-section.
