Temperature stability. The ideal operating temperature of lith- ium batteries ranges from 20 °C to 40 °C. In this temperature range, lithium ion batteries are most efficient, while their aging behavior is still acceptable. At temperatures below zero, cells may be irreversibly damaged if charged, for example when lithium is deposited on the anode (“lithium plating”). In the worst case, this may result in an inter- nal short circuit. Most lithium ion cells are not conceived for operating and storage at tempera- tures above 60 °C. At higher temperatures, the pressure within lithium ion cells may increase, inflammable gases are released, cells may ignite, right up to self-accelerating “explosive” burning of the battery (ther- mal runaway). This makes it dangerous to leave fully charged mobile phones or laptops on the hot dash board in the car on sunny summer days, as tempera- tures inside the car may reach up to 80 °C. If devices are immediately used at such high temperatures, this results in further heating and damage or failure.

  • Temperature Where low temperature and/or self-service cases are used for any of such merchandise coming under the jurisdiction of the Union, such cases shall be served only by employees covered by this Agreement.

  • Prescription Safety Glasses Prescription safety glasses will be furnished by the employer. The employer retains the authority to establish reasonable rules and procedures regarding frequency of issue, replacement of damaged glasses, limits on reimbursement costs and coordination with the employer's vision plan.

  • Quality control system (i) The Contractor shall establish a quality control mechanism to ensure compliance with the provisions of this Agreement (the “Quality Assurance Plan” or “QAP”). (ii) The Contractor shall, within 30 (thirty) days of the Appointed Date, submit to the Authority’s Engineer its Quality Assurance Plan which shall include the following: (a) organisation, duties and responsibilities, procedures, inspections and documentation; (b) quality control mechanism including sampling and testing of Materials, test frequencies, standards, acceptance criteria, testing facilities, reporting, recording and interpretation of test results, approvals, check list for site activities, and proforma for testing and calibration in accordance with the Specifications for Road and Bridge Works issued by MORTH, relevant IRC specifications and Good Industry Practice; and (c) internal quality audit system. The Authority’s Engineer shall convey its approval to the Contractor within a period of 21 (twenty-one) days of receipt of the QAP stating the modifications, if any, required, and the Contractor shall incorporate those in the QAP to the extent required for conforming with the provisions of this Clause 11.2. (iii) The Contractor shall procure all documents, apparatus and instruments, fuel, consumables, water, electricity, labour, Materials, samples, and qualified personnel as are necessary for examining and testing the Project Assets and workmanship in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan. (iv) The cost of testing of Construction, Materials and workmanship under this Article 11 shall be borne by the Contractor.

  • Quality All products will be new and unused. All products provided by the Contractor must meet all federal, state, and local standards for quality and safety requirements. Products not meeting the requirements of this section will be deemed unacceptable and returned to the Contractor for credit at no charge to the State.

  • Reactivation To reactivate suspended Service, you must bring your account current through the month of reactivation by making payment in full of any outstanding balance, fees and other applicable charges. In addition, we may require a deposit before reactivating your Service. The amount of the deposit will not exceed one year of monthly fees. Any amounts deposited by you will appear on your statement as a credit, and service charges and other fees will be invoiced as described above. If you fail to pay any amount on a subsequent ▇▇▇▇, the unpaid amount will be deducted each billing cycle from the credit amount. Credit amounts will not earn or accrue interest.
