Common use of TERM AND RENEGOTIATION Clause in Contracts

TERM AND RENEGOTIATION. The term of this Memorandum of Understanding shall commence upon adoption by the City Council, or on October 1, 2019, whichever occurs earlier. This Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in effect through September 30, 2023. All provisions in this contract shall expire on the termination date unless extended by mutual agreement in writing. In the event either party hereto desires to negotiate the provisions of a successor Memorandum of Understanding, such party shall serve upon the other, during the period of April 15, 2023 to May 15, 2023, its written request to commence negotiations for such successor Memorandum of Understanding. Negotiations shall begin no later than thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of notice unless extended by mutual agreement between the parties to this MOU. .
