Term Appointment of a Teacher to a Position of added Responsibility in the Bargaining Unit. (a) Where a term appointment to a Position of Added Responsibility is contemplated where no vacancy exists, a proposal must be submitted by the Principal/Superintendent through the Director, to the Staffing Advisory Committee, for agreement, specifying the following: (i) rationale for such term appointment; (ii) term of appointment and conditions of renewal; (iii) process of selection; (iv) any other special conditions. (b) If a term appointment to a vacant position of added responsibility is being considered, the provisions of Article 7.3(a) will apply. Such proposal must also be submitted by the Principal/Superintendent through the Director, to the Staffing Advisory Committee, for agreement, specifying the following: (i) rationale for such term appointment; (ii) term of appointment and conditions of renewal; (iii) process of selection; (iv) any other special conditions. (c) An unsuccessful applicant for a promotion to a specific position of added responsibility will be notified when the position is filled. An unsuccessful applicant shall, upon request, be granted an interview with an appropriate Employer representative to discuss the matter, including the reasons why he/she was not successful.
