Term of Appointment Clause Samples
The 'Term of Appointment' clause defines the duration for which an individual or entity is formally engaged or appointed under an agreement. It typically specifies the start and end dates of the appointment, and may outline conditions for renewal, extension, or early termination. For example, it might state that a consultant is appointed for a one-year period, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of the timeframe of their relationship, helping to prevent misunderstandings about the length of the commitment and providing a basis for planning and performance expectations.
