Common use of Termination of Check-Off Clause in Contracts

Termination of Check-Off. An employee shall cease to be subject to check-off deductions beginning with the month immediately following the month in which he/she is no longer a member of a bargaining unit. The Union will be notified by the Employer of the names of such employees following the end of each month in which the termination took place. Any employee may voluntarily cancel or revoke his/her authorization for check-off deduction upon written notice to the Employer and the Union within thirty (30) days prior to the expiration date of this Agreement.
