Common use of Third Stage Clause in Contracts

Third Stage. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ party to this Agreement may appeal, in writing, from the determination of the Superintendent of Schools after the completion of the First Stage and the Second Stage, as outlined under this procedure. Such appeal may be taken to an impartial arbitrator selected pursuant to the voluntary Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. The cost of any such arbitration shall be borne equally by the Board and the Union. Grievances which are not appealed within thirty (30) days after the receipt of the determination of the Superintendent, as provided for in the Third Stage, shall be deemed to have been abandoned.
