TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE. In the circumstance of more than one individual beginning employment on the same date, all individuals so affected will participate in a drawing to determine their position on the seniority list. Seniority shall be continuous service and shall accrue to an employee only during a period of active service. When more than one (1) employee transfers from one classification to another on the same date, the date of hire shall be used to determine their order of seniority relative to each other in the new classification. 15.1 Management shall have the right to fill vacancies and transfer employees within the bargaining unit according to the terms of 15.6.
