Common use of Time and a Half Clause in Contracts

Time and a Half. Except as otherwise provided in this Article, the following situations shall require payment as one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular established wage rate: ▪ Time worked in excess of Twelve (12) hours per day. ▪ Time worked in excess of any of the Three (3) scheduled workdays. ▪ Work scheduled in the three hours immediately preceding the normal starting time. ▪ Employees who are scheduled to work an observed holiday. ▪ Employees on Three-Twelve (3-12)’s who are scheduled for overtime except as defined in “Double Time.” ▪ Employees who are scheduled for overtime and such is canceled per Article 6.9 (Required notice for overtime)
