Common use of Time of Effectiveness Clause in Contracts

Time of Effectiveness. Unless otherwise provided, this Agreement shall take effect when all of the following events have occurred: (a) this Agreement has been signed on behalf of the Contractor by the person(s) authorized to bind the Contractor hereto; (b) this Agreement has been approved by the City's Council or by the Board, officer, or employee authorized to give such approval; (c) the Office of the City Attorney has indicated in writing its approval of this Agreement as to form and legality; and (d) this Agreement has been signed on behalf of the Department by the person designated by the Board, officer or employee authorized to enter into this Agreement.
