Days of rest will be rescheduled by the City (with some input by the employee) for the time spent in the joint negotiating session not to exceed eight hours so as not to interfere with City business. In the event an employee’s work is prearranged on a rescheduled day of rest or the employee is called out on a rescheduled rest day, the employee will receive the appropriate overtime rate for all hours worked. The above will be implemented consistent with the rules and regulations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Members of the bargaining unit shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes prior to and fifteen (15) minutes after the conference is over as excused time from their work assignment. They shall give their supervisor reasonable notice in advance of their desire to attend such meetings. It is understood, however, that, except for the foregoing, nothing shall be done which shall interfere with the work of any Township employee and/or department. Vacation days will be rescheduled if they coincide with Township-authorized meetings. The Union agrees to take all steps necessary to insure that this time is within reasonable limits. Excused time to attend meetings as set forth above shall not be construed as work time utilized and shall not be included for the purposes of computing overtime.

The City will consider a written request for the necessary and reasonable time off, up to a maximum of fifteen (15) days annually, without discrimination or loss of seniority rights or loss of pay, to not more than two (2) employees annually designated by the Union to attend a labor convention or serve in any capacity on other official Union business. Length of time off and reason must be specified. During the period of absence, the employee shall not engage in gainful employment. Failure to comply with this provision shall result in the employee receiving preliminary notice of disciplinary action (C.S. 31A).

  • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party. Such meeting shall take place at a time mutually convenient to both parties. Any use of Company time for attendance at such meetings shall be arranged in advance by mutual agreement. 10.1(b) This Article is intended to provide a free avenue of communication between the Union and the Company, and suggestions, complaints, or other matters may be presented by either party, provided that neither party shall be required to discuss any item brought up by the other party nor be bound to act upon any item presented. However, both parties agree to discuss informal grievances and complaints.

  • Board Meetings The Superintendent shall attend, and shall be permitted to attend, all meetings of the Board, both public and closed, with the exception of those closed meetings devoted to the consideration of any action or lack of action on the Superintendent’s Contract, or the Superintendent’s evaluation and/or job performance, or for purposes of resolving conflicts between individual Board members or when the Board is acting in its capacity as a tribunal or when the Board determines it is in the best interest of the Board and the District. In the event of illness or Board-approved absence, the Superintendent’s designee may attend such meetings.

  • TAC Meetings The goal of this subtask is for the TAC to provide strategic guidance for the project by participating in regular meetings, which may be held via teleconference. • Discuss the TAC meeting schedule with the CAM at the Kick-off meeting.   • Notice of Board Meetings Notice of Board meetings shall be given by the Chair or the Chair’s designee to each other Board Member by overnight courier service, email or other electronic transmission, or personal delivery. Notices shall be deemed to have been given: if given by courier service, when deposited with a courier service for overnight delivery with charges therefor prepaid or duly provided for; if given email or other electronic transmission, at the time of sending; and if given by personal delivery, at the time of delivery. Notices given by personal delivery may be in writing or oral. Written notices shall be sent to a Board Member at the postal address, email address or address for other electronic transmission, designated by him or her for that purpose or, if none has been so designated, at his or her last known residence or business address, email address or address for other electronic transmission. Except to the extent required by applicable law, no notice of any meeting of the Board need state the purposes of the meeting.

  • Open Meetings (a) All scheduled meetings of the Employer shall be open meetings, except in those cases where personnel, financial or other matters require that the meeting be considered confidential. (b) In those cases where a meeting is designated confidential, the Union shall be provided with a reason for such designation. (c) A designated member of the Union shall be provided a copy of the agenda and minutes of all open meetings. (d) Notwithstanding 18.04(b), any faculty member may request that an Union representative attend as an observer at meetings where the faculty member reasonably believes their working conditions under Article 12 will be affected. Management will be notified by the Union in advance of the meeting regarding their attendance at the meeting.
