Common use of Timely Submission Clause in Contracts

Timely Submission. Any grievance which has not been settled under Article 4 may be submitted by the City or the Union to arbitration in the manner set forth below within fifteen (15) working days after the response of the City Manager or his/her designee is received or due, whichever is sooner. Provided however, that upon the written request of either party, the above time limit shall be reasonably extended by mutual consent.
