Timing and Venue. 18.1.1 The AC Vice-chair reminded the meeting that Parties had agreed intersessionally (ACAP ANCP Circular 2021-03) to invite Ecuador to host AC13, if it so wished, because the COVID-19 pandemic meant it was not possible to hold AC12 in Ecuador. 18.1.2 Ecuador indicated that because of budgetary and biosecurity considerations it would not be in a position to host AC13. Ecuador stressed that it would be interested to host a future AC meeting. 18.1.3 The UK informed AC12 that it was aiming to host a future ACAP meeting but would have to investigate further whether this would be possible in 2023. 18.1.4 The Advisory Committee welcomed the interest from the UK and Ecuador in hosting future AC meetings, and would await intersessional advice from the UK before any further planning would be possible for AC13.
Timing and Venue. 17.1.1 The AC Vice-chair advised the meeting that, as previously noted, Australia would be the host of the Seventh Session of the Meeting of Parties, planned for May 2022. As advised in ACAP ANCP Circular 2021-03, a decision would be required before 2 January 2022 on whether the meeting will be in-person or online.
Timing and Venue. 17.1.1 Ecuador offered to host AC12 in 2020, either in the Galapagos Islands, or at a mainland location, the final decision regarding the venue being subject to cost considerations. 17.1.2 The Advisory Committee warmly welcomed this offer.
Timing and Venue. 19.1.1 The Executive Secretary advised that AC15 would be held in May 2026. 19.1.2 Namibia advised that Namibian authorities were considering the possibility of hosting AC15 and Namibia would keep the AC informed of the outcomes of those considerations. 19.1.3 Chinese Taipei commented that should no Party or Range State Observer offer to host AC15, then Chinese Taipei would like to explore the possibility of being the host. 19.1.4 The Advisory Committee welcomed the expressions of interest in potentially hosting AC15 and looked forward to receiving further information in due course.
Timing and Venue. 19.1 There were no offers from Parties to host the Fifth Meeting of Parties (MoP5) in 2015. The Secretariat and AC Chair will work intersessionally with Parties to secure a meeting host for 2015.
Timing and Venue. 17.1.1 The Executive Secretary advised the meeting that the Government of Spain has offered to host the Fifth Meeting of the Parties in Santa ▇▇▇▇, Tenerife from 4-8 May, 2015.
Timing and Venue. 23.1.1 The Executive Secretary advised the meeting that the Government of South Africa has offered to host the Sixth Session of the Meeting of Parties from 7 to 11 May, 2018 (AC10 Inf 14), at a location to be confirmed. 23.1.2 The Advisory Committee warmly welcomed this offer.
Timing and Venue. 16.1.1 Peru offered to host AC14 in late August – early September 2024, in its capital, Lima. 16.1.2 The Advisory Committee thanked Peru and warmly welcomed this offer.

Timing and Venue. 18.1.1 The next Session of the Meeting of Parties (MoP3) will take place in Bergen, Norway. The third or fourth week of April 2009 was suggested for this meeting. Uruguay expressed concern that this might overlap with the CITES Animal Committee meeting in Switzerland. Further details, including confirmation of the venue and meeting schedule, will be communicated to Parties and other ACAP participants in the near future.
