Total Net Leverage Ratio Clause Samples

The Total Net Leverage Ratio clause defines the maximum allowable ratio of a company's total debt, net of cash, to its earnings (typically measured as EBITDA). In practice, this clause requires the borrower to regularly calculate and report this ratio to the lender, ensuring that the company's indebtedness remains within agreed limits. By setting this financial covenant, the clause helps lenders monitor the borrower's financial health and manage credit risk, thereby reducing the likelihood of default due to excessive leverage.
