TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT. 8.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance employees’ abilities to perform their job duties. A. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with agency policies and available resources. B. The Department of Social and Health Services and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during the employee’s regular work shift. 8.2 Attendance at agency-required training will be considered time worked including travel in accordance with Subsection 7.1 C2.
