Training Overview. As MCI has stated within its RFP response, MCI has proposed to replace the current LazerPhone with the latest LazerPhone Platform release. Although all operating systems will be replaced with the latest state-of-the-art LazerPhone Platform, virtually all function for DOC/DJJ system users and inmates will remain the same. Additionally, MCI will implement the same inmate telephone voice prompts and instructions that have been used during the past seven years at DOC/DJJ. This approach will avoid the confusion that would occur through new system training of all DOC/DJJ inmates and wards.
