Transfer Out of the Unit. Appointed to Corrections Division- Administrative Position). An employee who chooses to accept an appointment by the Sheriff to an administrative position within the Corrections Division shall be allowed to return to this bargaining unit if the employee vacates the appointed position, either voluntarily or involuntarily, for reasons other than misconduct. The employee accepting the appointment shall not forfeit bargaining unit seniority and shall accrue seniority while appointed to the Administrative position. If the employee returns to the bargaining unit he shall be placed on the seniority list and wage schedule without reduction for time spent in the Administrative position. If there is no vacancy when the transfer occurs, the returning employee will be allowed to bump the least senior employee.
