Transfer Request Eligibility. An employee must be in their role for a minimum of three years to be eligible for a transfer request. • Transfer requests will be limited to one per year, and shall expire at the end of the designated transfer request year. • An employee must submit an official transfer request memo, with an updated resume, to their Division Head. There will be a thirty (30) day window to submit such requests at a time to be determined by the parties. Transfer requests should include pertinent information as to the nature of the request, ie change of location, change of shift etc… • The employee must have a satisfactory employment record and not have any open disciplinary actions or investigations to be eligible to request or be granted a transfer. • A Transfer request is not a promotional opportunity; it can only be for positions of the same grade and description. • If an open job has different skill sets, duties, or responsibilities, then employees must officially apply for the position when it is posted (even if same title). The determination as to whether a position falls into this category is management’s discretion and not subject to the contractual grievance procedure. • There shall be no inter-divisional transfers. • Employees cannot request to transfer for roles with pay differentials (i.e., OCC roles) • If a person was successfully transferred, they cannot make another transfer request for three years.
