Common use of Transfer to a Lower Classification Clause in Contracts

Transfer to a Lower Classification. Voluntary: An employee voluntarily transferred to a lower classification shall be placed on the proper range and the corresponding step to which the employee's years of experience in the District qualifies said employee. Prior to a voluntary transfer, the employee shall meet with the Director of Finance and be notified of the range and salary of the classification to which he/she will be assigned. The Director of Finance will confirm the employee’s decision to voluntarily transfer to a lower classification and obtain the employee’s signature attesting the request.
