Common use of TRANSFERS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT Clause in Contracts

TRANSFERS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT. The parties agree that the department has the authority to transfer and assign employees to work schedules and work locations. When a transfer means a change in work location, the employee shall be notified in writing no less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the transfer in order to enable the employee to arrange for an orderly change. Such notice shall contain date, shift, and location of new assignment and the reason for such transfer. This fourteen (14) calendar day notice may be waived in cases of emergency as declared by the Mayor or when there is an ongoing investigation.
