Translation Services Rate of Pay. A bilingual stipend of five percent (5%) will be paid to unit members who are regularly required to serve as a verbal language translator. This stipend for translation will not be paid for unit members already serving in a bilingual classification that requires fluency in a language other than English and will not be used to reduce the number of unit members in a bilingual classification Those unit members who are required to verbally translate will be paid five percent (5%) more per hour for any portion of the hour that they are required to translate; time is to be recorded in 15-minute increments. Time for service above should be recorded on a time sheet, approved by site administration, and submitted monthly to Business Services. Unit members called back to work after their shift has ended shall be compensated in accordance with Article 7.10.

  • Rate of Pay a. An Employee who is employed as a TTOC shall be paid 1/189 of their category classification and experience, to a maximum of the rate at Category 5 Step 8, for each full day worked.
