Common use of Treatment of Client Property Clause in Contracts

Treatment of Client Property. The Contractor shall ensure that any adult client receiving services under this Agreement has unrestricted access to their personal property. The Contractor shall not interfere with any adult client's ownership, possession, or use of the client's property. Upon termination or completion of the Agreement, the Contractor shall promptly release to the client and/or the client's guardian or custodian all of the client's personal property. This section does not prohibit the Contractor from implementing such lawful and reasonable policies, procedures and practices as the Contractor deems necessary for safe, appropriate and effective service delivery (for example, appropriately restricting client’s access to, or possession or use of, lawful or unlawful weapons and drugs).
