Types of Discipline. Disciplinary action shall be imposed upon an employee for just-cause, which includes, but is not limited to, failing to adequately fulfill the responsibilities as an employee and on-duty or off-duty conduct, which relates to an employee’s ability to satisfactorily perform the job. An employee may, after twelve (12) months of the issuance of any negative action, request of the Police Chief or his designee, (with a copy to the City Manager) the removal of such material from the employee’s personnel file.
