Common use of Types of Leaves Clause in Contracts

Types of Leaves. Leaves of absence without pay will be granted as specified below. Except as required by the Family and Medical Leave Act or except as otherwise stated below, no benefits will accrue to a teacher during an unpaid leave of absence. Upon the return from such leave, the accumulated PTO leave benefit, as of the date the leave commenced, will be restored providing that the teacher has not been employed elsewhere in the interim.
