Common use of Underground Allowance Clause in Contracts

Underground Allowance. The Company will pay an Underground Allowance of $3.50 per hour for all purposes to compensate employees for all conditions associated with work on tunnels and shafts over five (5) metres underground including but not limited to special payments for all project disabilities such as confined space, heat, location, dirt, wind, fumes, irritant and insulation, any project allowances and all dust allowances and all work on the project. The allowance shall also include payment for all climate conditions, area of work and the wearing of safety equipment. The allowance shall not be paid for surface work. APPENDIX E‌
