Common use of Union Affirmation Clause in Contracts

Union Affirmation. The Union does hereby affirm and agree that it will not either 31 directly or indirectly, call, sanction, encourage, finance or assist in any way, nor shall any 32 employee instigate or participate, either directly or indirectly, in any strike, slowdown, walkout, 33 workstoppage, or other concerted interference with or the withholding of services from the 34 Employer. The term “strike” includes any individual or collective refusal to carry out an 35 assignment or any individual or concerted interference with the Employer’s services, based on an 36 allegation of safety concerns. 37
