Union Recognition and Employment. 1. 1a) The Company recognizes the Union as the duly certified sole collective bargaining agent for all unlicensed personnel specified herein employed in the Deck, Engineroom, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Galley Departments of all vessels (tugs or ships) owned and/or operated, and/or bareboat chartered by it in its Seaspan Ferries Corporation service, except that it is understood and agreed that this Agreement does not affect nor cover licensed personnel. Any vessel(s) (tugs, barges or ships) new or used, owned and/or operated by the Company which are brought into the Companies service shall be covered by the terms and conditions of this collective agreement and any previous agreement that may be attached to the vessel shall be void except for when the vessel(s) are contracted to the Company.
